The Owner

Names David Sharko. I was born in Grande Prairie, AB. I graduated in 2010. I played a lot of sports when I was a kid from soccer and baseball in elementary school to basketball and football in high school. I never was a natural athlete. I wasn’t a giant, I wasn’t extremely fast, my cardio was always fairly sub-par, I wasn’t the strongest. But my football coach always told me “you can’t train heart or dedication” and I had both. No matter how many times I got my ass kicked, I kept coming back. And by the time I graduated, I was a captain on the team.

I had a bad injury record in football, through a broken ankle, a bad concussion, and a hernia in the 4 years that I played, all of which ended my seasons. My hernia was the big one. It was in the pelvic wall and essentially stopped me from being able to be active at all. My doctor told me I basically had to sit on my ass until surgery. That was about half way through my last year of high school. I would have been around 195 lbs.

I went through all of the surgery consultations and they told me it would be 7 to 9 months before they could get me in for surgery and reiterated what my doctor had said, just do as little as possible. So that’s what I did. By the time I graduated I would have been probably 225 lbs. I went back in for a consultation after that and the surgeon said “I have only seen this a handful of times, it’s extremely rare, but your hernia healed itself”. I thought that was spectacular news. So that summer I took a trip to a friends cabin on Christina Lake in British Columbia.

I stepped on a scale there for the first time since the appointment with the surgeon. I was 242 lbs. And not in a good way. That was the moment that changed my life and introduced me to the fitness industry.

I started following bodybuilding and going to the gym regularly. I had one roommate in college (pre-employment course for Heavy Duty Mechanic) who was always in incredible shape. He introduced me to low carbohydrate dieting and proper training. I dropped down to 225 again and started doing tons of research and I quickly got addicted to it.

I have now been in the gym for 8 years. I spent the majority of those years in a frustrating game of trial and error. You know, the usual read some bullshit on the internet about all kinds of different training styles and diets, most of which didn’t work. But after all of that time, eventually at the very least you start to learn your body and what does and does not work for you.

I finally hired a close friend who was a personal trainer (shout out to Steph Boyd with Limitless Body Design) who introduced me to proper personalized programs and she motivated me to get certified as a Personal Trainer as well. So here we are.

“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.”

What We Stand For

This company was started with the sole goal and purpose to help people learn how to train properly in a safe and healthy manner while allowing you to push yourself forward and become the best version of yourself you can be, physically and mentally.

Many folks may think that because we make our money off of training clients that we may not want to give them all of the information necessary to do this on your own, because then you’ll keep coming back and keep hiring us.

THAT IS NOT US.

Of course every trainer wants clients to come back, but I want them to come back because they are moving up and want to take things to the next level, not because they don’t know what they’re doing. I am doing this in the interest of giving people the opportunity to learn properly, so they can be properly educated and achieve their own goals without having to pay someone time and time again.

So join the outlaws. Break the mold.

Where are we going

Whoever is reading this, you’re probably wondering whats up with all of the “I”s and “We”s even though right now it’s just this Dave guy you just read about.

I started this company with a vision. I don’t want to be one personal trainer. I want to start a community of trainers and clients alike. In the future, I will hopefully find other trainers that appreciate the brand and the stigma that surrounds my goals and my state of mind, and create a mutually beneficial relationship where we can help each other and one day build one of the strongest and greatest fitness communities the world has ever seen.

In the future, once the brand develops some more, we will also be offering clothing, lifting apparel and other merchandise. So instead of trying to hunt for all the big name brands and doing trial and error with what kind of clothing and gear you need, you can come to us and we will get you exactly what you’re looking for.

Big things are coming ladies and gentlemen. Saddle up and hang on.

What we do

As I said earlier, I am a huge bodybuilding fan. However, having said that, I am not a bodybuilder nor a bodybuilding coach. I am a personal trainer with Bodybuilding roots. Therefore, the majority of my training is centered around Hypertrophy and Weight Loss.

Having said that, I also know that in order to have a well balanced, healthy body as well as an aesthetically pleasing physique, it takes more than just picking heavy shit up in a gym. There needs to be a balance between hypertrophy, cardio, strength, and conditioning as well as a proper diet.

Don’t think because I go to the gym to get jacked that I force all of my clients to do that. I can tailor a program to all levels of fitness and all types of fitness goals. From athletes to people that have never seen a gym before, we will find the perfect program for you.

As we are a very new company, there are still a lot of avenues we are exploring and many things that have not yet come to fruition. VERY SOON we will be offering completely free workouts that you will have absolute access to with no purchase, no sign up, no bullshit. Just click on the link and scroll through to find one that works for you. Looking for some progressive overload for a body part? Or are you just bored from doing the same shit over and over again? We got you covered.
